Everything you need to know about ClaimReceipts
ClaimReceipts is a public accountability tracker that documents predictions made by tech leaders, crypto influencers, and other public figures. We verify these claims against reality when their deadlines arrive.
Think of it as a "receipts" archive for bold predictions—we keep track so the internet doesn't forget.
We use a straightforward verification process:
- We check if the specific claim came true by the stated deadline
- We use objective, publicly available data sources
- We link to primary sources for transparency
- Ambiguous claims are marked as such with explanation
We focus on predictions that are:
- Specific — Clear enough to be objectively verified
- Time-bound — Has a deadline or timeframe
- Public — Made in interviews, tweets, podcasts, or public statements
- Influential — From people with significant platforms or authority
We primarily track claims in AI, cryptocurrency, and technology, but we're expanding to other categories.
You can submit claims through our submission form. We need:
- Who made the claim (person and organization)
- The exact prediction or statement
- When it was made
- The deadline for the prediction
- A source link (required)
All submissions are reviewed before being published.
- Pending — The deadline hasn't passed yet
- Verified — The prediction came true
- Debunked — The prediction did not come true
The accuracy score is calculated as: (Verified Claims) ÷ (Verified + Debunked Claims) × 100%
Pending claims are not included in the calculation until they're resolved. A person needs at least one resolved claim to have a score.
Yes! If you believe a claim has been incorrectly verified or debunked, you can contact us with evidence. We take accuracy seriously and will review all disputes.
Please include links to sources that support your dispute.
No. ClaimReceipts is an independent project with no corporate affiliations. We don't favor or target any particular person, company, or industry.
